Preaching at trinity church capitol square, columbus
While I attended Bexley Hall Seminary, it was my honour and joy to find a home for my two years of Field Education at Trinity Church Capitol Square in downtown Columbus. The Rector there then, as today, was Fr. Dick Burnett, whom I knew and enjoyed truly as a man of outstanding intellect, boundless energy, good cheer, and great wit. I came very much to love the people of Trinity Church too, as they offered to me so very much of their patience, care, and support in what should be for all of us a time of so very many and varied challenges of discernment and growth as well as of anticipation, and hope. Indeed, it was here that I came surely to believe that I could indeed live fully and joyfully into the dynamic and varied ministries of the parish priesthood.
